Expert Reviews
Good medium-dark red. Primary aromas of raspberry, milk chocolate and cherry cola. Ripe and expansive on the palate, this medium-bodied wine is sweet and creamy, but the middle palate shows only moderate concentration. Finishes with very smooth tannins and decent length. This is yet another estate that releases its Rosso a year late. The first vines were only planted in 1999, and the first commercial releases of Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino were the 2004. A passionate owner and the winemaking talents of the young enologist Paolo Caciorgna, whose wines privilege terroir over winemaker signature, make this an estate to watch.
