($45) Good full red Complex nose is loaded with floral aromas of pomegranate, red cherry and plum, along with hints of truffle, tobacco, and minerals. Then smooth and fine-grained, with enticing, sappy, plump red fruit and herbal flavors. There's excellent concentration here, and solid acidity to give the rather ripe, soft flavors good clarity and cut. Finishes creamy-smooth and long, with soft tannins and a whiff of roasted meat. Though extremely successful, this is a rather atypical wine for Stella di Campalto, very much a result of the warm vintage.
