91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2009

($55; one-third each of cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and syrah) Bright ruby. Complex scents of red- and blackcurrant, dried cherry and tobacco; this doesn't smell like a New World wine at all. Pliant cherry and dark berry flavors are firmed by dusty tannins and pick up a smoky note with air. Finishes with good grip and a persistent notes of peppery spice.
