($75) Good full red. Musky, perfumed aromas and flavors of cherry, sweet currant, coffee, tobacco and rose petal. Bright acids intensify this merlot's flavors and give it good mid-palate cut. Finishes persistent, with serious tannins saturating the front teeth and turning a bit dry with aeration.
