92(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2010

($67) Deep ruby. Pungent, high-pitched aromas of candied red fruits, pepper and spices; more expressive than the Almirez but also deeper and more pungent. Then high-pitched and intense in the mouth, with a mineral-driven quality to the sappy red fruit and floral flavors. This rather powerful, velour-textured wine finishes very long, with lingering sweetness and silky, harmonious tannins that fade into the fruit at the close. I like this youthful wine's polish and energy.
