About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

($55) Vivid ruby. Aromas of dark berry preserves, violet and spices, with a building peppery quality. Lush and sappy on entry, then firmer in the mid-palate, offering dark berry and bitter cherry flavors and a kiss of cracked pepper. The sweet finish lingers with good spiciness and clarity.
