($30; aged for 20 months in new French barriques Bright full red. Reduced nose is less expressive today than that of the cabernet, hinting at dark berries, black cherry and bitter chocolate. Broad, sweet and lush on the palate; densely packed but not yet expressive. There's already lovely perfume here but this rather powerful malbec needs time to harmonize its components. Sexy oak and chocolate, along with a saline chewy quality, currently co-exist on the ripely tannic finish.
