90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January 2012

(85% malbec with 10% petit verdot and 5% tannat):  Good bright, full red.  Currant, earth, menthol and chocolatey, vanillin oak on the nose, lifted by a whiff of rose petal.  Suave on entry, then mellow and round in the middle, with good freshness to the slightly medicinal red cherry and currant flavors.  Ripe acids and fine-grained tannins give this wine a solid structural underpinning for bottle aging, even if it's approachable already.
