($40) Bright, deep ruby. Crushed blackberry, cassis and licorice on the nose. Densely packed, intense crushed fruit flavors are complicated by violet and dark chocolate flavors, with serious underlying structure and broad, dusty tannins giving the wine a harmonious character-as well as the backbone for some development in bottle.
