($16) Bright ruby-red. High-pitched, perfumed aromas of black raspberry, crushed pepper and graphite. Densely packed and sweet, with concentrated dark berry flavors perked up by fruity black pepper. Finishes broad and sweet, with serious but ripe tannins and terrific length for the price range.
