93 Points | International Wine Cellar , January 2012

(just 200 cases produced):  Bright medium ruby-red.  Aromatic nose combines crushed blackberry, violet, licorice and crushed pepper.  Juicy and sharply delineated, with terrific inner-mouth energy to the flavors of black fruits, spices and mint.  Classy, firmly built wine with an enticing saline complexity on the back end and solid tannic spine.  Finishes with a medicinal reserve and a suggestion of bitter chocolate.  As in other recent successful vintages here, this is one of a handful of outstanding nebbiolos made outside Italy's Piedmont region.
