($62) Vivid ruby. Pungent aromas of blackberry, cherry-cola, violet and smoked meat, with a strong spicy quality. Deep, fleshy and pliant, with enticing flavors of boysenberry, candied cherry, bitter chocolate, violet and cracked pepper. A mineral note adds cut to a precise, smoky, persistent finish. Paris advises stashing this wine away for another five years or so.
