($84) Dark purple. Exotic, heady aromas of mulberry, blackcurrant, apricot, licorice and violet, with a suggestion of smokiness. Sweet and juicy but tight, with pliant dark berry compote and cherry qualities, peppery spices and a late note of black olive. The finish features fine-grained tannins and very good clarity. All the fruit for this wine comes from Chaillot.
