90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 2010

(80% grenache and 20% syrah) Ruby red. Pungent aromas of kirsch, smoky underbrush, minerals and licorice. Fleshy and smooth, with deep red and dark berry flavors enlivened by a tangy note of blood orange. Packs a solid punch without coming off as heavy and finishes with very good smoky persistence and mineral cut.
