Vivid red. High-pitched aromas of red berries, spice cake and blood orange, rounded out by an intense floral quality. Racy and fine-grained strawberry and raspberry flavors show very good clarity and repeat the tangy blood orange note. Sweeter on the finish, which leaves notes of rose pastille and spices behind. I really like this wine's refined character. All the juice that usually makes up the estate's old-vine Secret de Gabriel is in this wine. (Rosenthal Wine Merchant, Pine Plains, NY)
