90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January 2011

($30-$38) Full red. Perfumed bouquet of redcurrant, cherry, smoky minerals and flowers, with exotic spice notes in the background. Juicy, palate-staining red and dark fruit flavors are lifted by tangy acidity and complicated by succulent spices and candied lavender. The mineral quality repeats on the focused, pure, persistent finish. (A Daniel Johnnes Selection, imported by Michael Skurnik Wines; Roanoke Valley Wine Company, Salem, VA; Carolina Wine & Spirits, Norwood, MA; Dionysus Imports, Houston, TX)
