Deep ruby. Aromas of spicy dark berries, cherry compote and smoky oak on the nose. The sweet dark berry flavors show good verve and definition but the oak is pretty pronounced right now. Finishes with resonating oak spice notes, with a supple texture and building, fine-grained tannins. There's very good depth to this wine, especially in light of the vintage; give it a little time to absorb the oak. (Pasternak Wine Imports, Harrison, NY)
