($30) Deep, bright ruby. High-pitched aromas of raspberry, licorice, white pepper and star anise, plus a whiff of fresh herbs. Youthfully tight wine, finishing with very good purity, vivacity and lingering spiciness. This should develop more richness with four or five years in bottle.
