($20) Saturated ruby. A wild, meaty bouquet displays dried cherry, cassis and smoky herbs. A chewy, slightly gamy midweight that shows good depth to its sweet cherry compote and dark berry flavors. Dusty tannins add grip but don't distract from this wine's sweet, fruit-driven character. This should be drinking well soon.
