Deep, bright ruby-red. Crushed dark berries and toasty oak on the nose. Dense, juicy and surprisingly dry, with enticing mulberry fruit complicated by spices and woodsmoke. This rather laid-back pinotage finishes with dusty tannins and a light note of burning tobacco that tempered my enthusiasm a bit.
