($30; a 50/50 blend of mourvedre and cinsault) Bright, orange-tinged pink. Spicy red berry and pink grapefruit aromas, with complicating notes of white pepper and honeysuckle. Juicy strawberry and raspberry flavors are given a refreshingly bitter edge by a note of rhubarb and an exotic touch of floral honey on the back end. The spiciness repeats on the finish, adding bite to the gently sweet red fruit flavors. I suspect that this wine will be even more interesting, if a bit less fresh, with a few years of bottle age.
