About Chateau Ste. Michelle
Chateau Ste. Michelle is a massive operation, leading the world in the production of Riesling. 3,500 acres planted across the state of Washington produce roughly 2,000,000 cases annually. Winemaker Bob Bertheau manages not one, but two seperate wineries dedicated to the production of white and red wines respectively.

($24) Pale greenish-silver. Ripe fruit salad, lime, anise and a touch of minerality on the nose, along with a suggestion of candied fruits. Juicy, ripe and intense, with decent peppery lift to the middle palate, but slightly warm in the style of the year and in need of more lift and definition. I find this less refined in its texture than usual for this bottling.
