($35; 16.4% alcohol) Bright black-ruby. Pungent, incisive nose offers black raspberry, blackberry, violet, minerals and black olive; smells like a great syrah. Then compellingly vibrant and intense in the mouth, with sexy, penetrating flavors of crushed berries and spices saturating every millimeter of the palate. Wonderfully sweet, precise wine with a powerful tannic structure supported by urgent fruit. A great example of petite sirah: one could enjoy this now or in ten years.
