Good bright, full red. Very ripe aromas of black cherry and licorice. Rich, broad and sweet but less perfumed than the Pernand Les Vergelesses or Savigny Les Guettes. Plenty of volume here but this medicinal, backward wine shows some resin and caramel notes that have me wondering if it will retain the freshness of the best 2008s once the tannins have been absorbed.
