About Domaine Robert Chevillon
For the longest time, the Chevillons were the equivalent of sharecroppers, farming vines they didn't own and selling the fruit to local négociants. Today, Domaine Robert Chevillon is one of the top two producers in Nuits-Saint-Georges, along with Henri Gouges.
89-92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March/April 2010
(60-year-old vines; racked two weeks before my visit) Good full red. Perfumed aromas of black fruits, violet and licorice. Denser and deeper than the Chaignots, with more energy to the flavors of black fruits, minerals and flowers. This boasts lovely energy and lift and finishes with excellent purity and definition.
