($60; a 50/50 blend of cabernet sauvignon and carmenere) Opaque ruby. Exotic scents of black raspberry, cherry, fruitcake, peppery spices and violet; smells almost syrah-like. Lush, sappy dark fruit flavors display liqueur-like depth but are light on their feet, with tangy minerality adding lift and cut. An impressively rich but suave blend with excellent finishing clarity and lingering spiciness. (T. Edward Wines, New York NY)
