90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2010

($30) Good bright, deep red. Exotic perfume of cherry, orange peel and spearmint, with citrus fruit and floral nuances providing more treble notes. Juicy and high-pitched, with lovely floral-spicy lift to the red fruit flavors. A wine of modest body but brisk and light on its feet-not to mention gently priced for California pinot. This wine is from better vineyards than in the past, noted proprietor/winemaker Sean Capiaux, as well as declassified juice from his single-vineyard wines.
