($28) Medium orange-tinged pink. Pungent, complex scents of cherry pit, redcurrant, peach skin and dried rose, with hints of chalk and smoke in the background. Fleshy but focused, offering gently sweet red berry and cherry flavors and brighter citrus and mineral qualities on the back half. Blends richness with nerviness smoothly and finishes with lingering mineral and floral notes. I've seen stony roses like this age surprisingly well. (Polaner Selections, Mt. Kisco NY)
