($34; 100% chiavennasca, the local name for nebbiolo) Medium-dark red. Spicy aromas of blackberry, cardamom and sweet vanilla. Enters ripe and smooth, showing a creamy texture to the flavors of blackberry, clove and red cherry. Finishes moderately long, with good acidity, fine tannins and a lingering peppery-vanillin quality.
