($15; a blend of monastrell, tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon and merlot) Inky ruby. Highly pungent aromas of dark cherry, blackcurrant and cedar, with a hint of tobacco. Smells like an old-fashioned Bordeaux. Chewy black and blue fruit flavors are sweetened by a note of coconut and pack a solid punch. Showing distinct oak character but there's a lot of deep dark fruit here as well. Finishes sweet, with very good persistence.
