($43; 79% mourvedre, 7% petite sirah, 6% syrah, 5% carignane and 3% alicante bouschet) Glass-staining ruby. Sexy, highly perfumed bouquet of ripe raspberry, cherry, violet and cracked pepper, with a hint of star anise coming up with aeration. Sappy, gently sweet red and dark berry flavors stain the palate, with lively acidity providing spine. At once densely packed and vibrant, finishing with strong cut and spicy persistence.
