90 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2010

($22) Pale, hazy silver. Exotic aromas of tangerine, orange marmalade, minerals and white pepper, with a building floral character. Juicy and broad for the variety, offering spicy citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a bitter note of quinine. The mineral note returns strongly on the finish, which is refreshingly tangy and long. The food possibilities for this wine are endless; I'd go with Asian fish or vegetable dishes. Michael Havens is a partner in this Albari n o venture.

About Napa Valley

Napa Valley is the most famous wine-growing area in the U.S. It begins at the base of Mount St. Helena in the north and tapers off some 30 miles to the south into the floodplain where the Napa River enters San Francisco Bay. From Mount St. Helena to the city of Napa, the valley is defined by two north-south ridgelines of the Coast Range Mountains.
