($40) Unfiltered-looking gold. Highly nuanced, musky nose combines citrus fruits, fresh herbs, candied ginger, minerals and pungent flowers. Fat, dense and opulent, but vibrant for all its size and power. Offers a complex balance of citrus fruits, minerals and spices. This rich, mineral-driven wine really saturates the mouth with flavor and finishes with noteworthy grip and spicy length. Mahle finished this wine in neutral 500-liter puncheons.
