($80; 15.8% alcohol; from four-year-old vines) Hazy appearance. Aromas of dried citrus peel, linden tea and hazelnut, with more vibrant notes of lemon zest and ginger emerging with aeration. Dense, strong and aromatic, with penetrating acidity buffered on the back end by a saline impression of extract. The youthful tartness and phenolic impression of this wine actually reminded me of a young Corton-Charlemagne, but this wine will require patience.
