Saturated dark ruby-red.  Closed nose hints at blackberry, dark chocolate, vanilla and graphite.  Lush, chewy and rich, with powerful dark cherry, mineral and chocolate flavors nicely framed by soft acidity.  The ripe tannins coat the entire palate on the long, thick finish.  I'd like to have seen a little more finesse, but it's hard to argue with this wine's sweet, soft personality.
