($36) Vivid red. Raspberry, white pepper and candied rose on the nose, with suave mineral and spice undertones. Lively, finely etched, nicely concentrated red fruit flavors expand and gain sweetness with air, picking up notes of red licorice, spicecake and rose pastille. Juicy and alluring wine with excellent finishing lift and clarity. This is delicious now but has the energy to reward at least another few years of bottle aging.
