About Chateau Malescot St. Exupery
Looking back on the history of this Second Growth, 1955 is the all important year, the year that Paul and Roger Zuger bought Chateau Malescot St. Exupery and resurrected it from the shadows to the star it is today.
2009 Chateau Malescot St. Exupery Margaux (in double magnum)
Producer: Chateau Malescot St. Exupery
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Bordeaux Blend
Origin: France
Region: Bordeaux
Appellation: Margaux
91(+?) Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2012
Inky ruby. Ripe aromas of plum, blackberry jam and sweet balsamic vinegar. Rich and ripe in the mouth, with lively acidity lifting the creamy black fruit flavors and extending the wine's lightly peppery, very suave finish. Not the most refined or subtle Margaux you'll ever taste but immensely drinkable, and with plenty of depth and concentration to its aromas and flavors.
