(a 50/50 blend of merlot and cabernet franc) Deep ruby. S exy aromas and flavors of cassis, licorice, chocolate and mint. A juicy, fine-grained midweight that's subtle, stylish and nicely balanced, with tannins that are less aggressive and astringent than many other '09s. Finishes smooth and lively, with an enticing violet quality. This should turn out to be a good buy.
