($25) Bright straw. Lively aromas of lemon zest, orange, green apple and lemongrass. Taut, finely etched citrus and floral flavors show very good clarity thanks to brisk minerality and a hint of bitter quinine. Many white Chinons show a soft, even flat character but this is quite energetic, with the structure and nerviness to suggest that it will reward a few years of patience.
