($65) Bright medium red. Perfumed aromas of raspberry, Asian spices and dried rose. Suave and silky, with mineral-driven red berry flavors and a firmer note of cherry skin on the back half. More delicate and pure than the Grand Detour, with a kiss of smoky spices coming up with air. Not a powerful wine but nicely focused, energetic and spicy. Fine-grained tannins add grip to the persistent, tangy finish. No fat on these bones.
