90 Points | International Wine Cellar , July 2010

Bright medium red. P rimary aromas of raspberry, blackberry syrup and minerals. The red berry and mineral flavors begin rather cool but the wine shows increasing ripeness as it opens in the glass. Razor-sharp acidity gives grip to this characterful sangiovese and extends its very clean, pure finish, highlighting a saline nuance on the back. A year or two of additional bottle aging will only improve this further, hence my outstanding rating, but I should note that if this wine does not fill out, my score will look too generous. Readers who prefer fleshier, riper wines might opt for a Brunello from the southern section of Montalcino in '05. (Vias Imports, New York NY)
