($40) Good bright, deep red. Ripe but subdued nose offers plum and spicy oak, with a floral element emerging with air. Sweet, slightly cooked flavors of macerated cherries and pepper appeared to gain in freshness as the wine opened in the glass. Finishes with firm but somewhat edgy tannins.
