An excellent Napa Cab

I cellared this bottle for two years before trying one and it was worth the wait. There was plenty of fruit and depth and a nice long finish. Wish I could get more.

Focused blackberry and blueberry on the nose and palate. Floral. Elegant and solidly structured.
Outstanding Cab worthy of cellar time

Based on my experience with the Sweetwater Ranch offering, I was surprised at the Stagecoach Vineyard. After one hour decanting, it was not the big, burly, oakey wine I expected. Instead, it was much more restrained and balanced, even reticent. After about two hours, though, it opened and showed its opulence. It is really nice stuff, full of fruit, nicely kissed with oak, and well balanced with tannins and acid. I don't think it gets much better than this, and it should live longer than the Sweetwater Ranch. I'll try to give this another year or two to let it reach its peak, provided I can resist it. Thank you, Wineaccess, for making this one available!

From Mount St. Helena to the city of Napa, the valley is defined by two north-south ridgelines of the Coast Range Mountains.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon built its reputation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Moving slightly south, Cabernet Sauvignon meets Merlot in roughly equal proportions in the red wines of Graves. In both of these Bordeaux regions, the top bottles...
