88 Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2011

(a lightly fortified blend of cabernet sauvignon, grenache, mataro and shiraz; 17% alcohol, which is on the low side for a port-styled wine):  Bright ruby.  Cherry, gingerbread and mocha on the nose, with a slightly roasted coffee note.  Rich and broad, with good weight, pliant dark berry flavors and a hint of burnt orange.  Becomes spicier and more brisk with air, finishing with good clarity and cut.
