90(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2010

($30) Dark red with a bright rim. Powerfully scented bouquet of black raspberry, cherry-cola, black tea and violet. More tangy red berry notes add lift to the darker fruits on the palate, with hints of sassafras and musky herbs adding complexity. Offers an attractive combination of energy and depth and finishes with excellent clarity and length, and an echo of rooty sassafras. Definitely give this one some bottle aging or an hour in a decanter.
