(from vines planted in 1952, according to Bernard Billaud): Pale, bright straw.  High-pitched aromas and flavors of white peach, lemon and flowers, with hints of rose petal and hawthorn.  Intensely flavored yet quite delicate, with lively lemony acidity giving cut to the middle palate.  This shows much more flavor intensity than the Vaudesir and finishes with more structure and thrust.  More impressive today than it appeared to be last year from tank:  this has firmed up nicely.
