About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2009 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Beauroy
Producer: Domaine William Fevre
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
87-89 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2010
Pale yellow. Lime, toast and a saline, iodiney quality on the nose. Broad and fine-grained, with spicy flavors of lime peel, minerals and spices. The wine's acidity kicks in at the end, giving the finish a slightly tart quality. This wine has a tendency to be heavy but is more minerally than usual in 2009, notes Seguier, who picked this fruit near the beginning of the harvest.
