About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
2009 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Bougros
Producer: Domaine William Fevre
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
92 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2011
Pale yellow. Reticent but pure nose hints at citrus peel and minerals, along with a high-pitched floral note. Firm on entry, then dense, citrussy and precise in the middle, showing very good intensity but coming across as quite tightly coiled today. Finishes with very good grip and saline minerality. This is a baby now and will need several years of cellaring to reveal its inherent complexity.
