About Louis Michel & Fils
In six generations of winemaking here in Chablis, the Michel family has developed a no nonsense approach. You won't find the distracting presence of oak in these immaculate Chardonnays, because no wood is used in their cellaring.
2009 Louis Michel & Fils Chablis
Producer: Louis Michel & Fils
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
87 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2011
(bottled after the 2010 harvest): Yellow fruits and clove oil on the nose. Fat and round but a bit blurry; more chardonnay than Chablis. Broad and dry but a bit warm. I'd drink this young, before the 2008 and 2007. In fairness, tasting a 2009 village wine following a 2010 Clos, which I did in numerous cellars in June, is not easy on the '09.
