About Louis Michel & Fils
In six generations of winemaking here in Chablis, the Michel family has developed a no nonsense approach. You won't find the distracting presence of oak in these immaculate Chardonnays, because no wood is used in their cellaring.
2009 Louis Michel & Fils Chablis Vaillons
Producer: Louis Michel & Fils
Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Chardonnay
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Chablis
90 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2011
Pale bright yellow. Nuanced, cooler aromas of citrus peel, wild herbs and acacia flower. Fat in the middle, with crushed white fruit flavors nicely framed by lemony acidity. The best balance and class, not to mention complexity, of these 2009s to this point. Finishes with very good length. This was picked on the first day of the harvest, September 15, and includes the Sechets.
